Assistant coach Vijay Dahiya parted ways with the Lucknow Super Giants

On Monday, January 1, the Lucknow Super Giants announced they parted ways with assistant coach Vijay Dahiya ahead of the IPL 2024 season. Dahiya, who is the former India wicketkeeper, has worked with the Super Giants in the Andy Flower-led support staff group since the team's inception in 2022.

Vijay Dahiya took to social media to "bid goodbye" to the Lucknow Super Giants and wish the team well for the upcoming season. Dahiya parting ways with Lucknow comes months after LSG appointed former Australia opener Justin Lanager as their head coach. LSG opted not to renew the contract of their former head coach, Andy Flower, whose tenure ended after the IPL 2023 season. LSG made the playoffs in 2022 and 2023, making a fine start to their IPL journey.

Dahiya said in a social media post, "Time to bid adieu, LSG. Lucknow Super Giants: It was a wonderful experience working with the team over the past two years. Wishing team LSG all the very best."
