India vs Afghanistan series in doubt as BCCI meets ACB president during the finals of IPL 2023

There is a big question mark over the future of the India-Afghanistan series. This series was part of the preparation for the World Cup in 2023 for both teams. However, with India's tour of the West Indies and the Asia Cup coming up, the BCCI is thinking of pulling the plug on the limited overs series.

BCCI officials and the chief of ACB, Mirwais Ashraf, are going to discuss the future of this bilateral series during the ACC meeting in Ahmedabad. According to reports, India and Afghanistan's cricket teams were set to play a 3-game ODI series between the World Test Championship finals and India's tour of the West Indies.

But there is only a one-month gap between the two tournaments; hence, the BCCI is concerned about the workload of the players. The Indian cricket team is also going to participate in the Asia Cup schedule, which is to be announced soon, and the World Cup in 2023 is also not far away.
