Aakash Chopra Questions India for resting both Rohit and Virat

Image
F ormer opener of the Indian Cricket Team, Aakash Chopra, is not happy with the decision of the team management to rest Virat and Rohit Sharma for the second ODI against the West Indies. He questioned whether Rohit Sharma and his teammates were overly dismissive of the visitors, noting that the World Cup isn't far away. The West Indies won the second ODI against India by six wickets, tying the series 1-1. In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra said, "You might be wondering why Rohit and Kohli weren't there. Was it because the opposition team collapsed in the last match? The West Indies looked extremely ordinary while batting first, so India thought they wouldn't play their main players. Let's experiment a little more. Could that have been the reason?" Chopra also said that a team can only prepare for the World Cup if all of its members play together in all ODIs. He added, "If that was the reason, even you could have gotten out in one match, if your tea...

Kuldeep Yadav's comment on competing with Chahal for an ODI spot

Image
Between Kuldeep Yadav's ODI debut in June 2017 and the end of the 2019 World Cup, India played 63 ODIs with either one of them in their XI, 34 with both, and none with neither. Since defeating England in the semi-finals at Old Trafford, though, India have become quite hesitant to use their wrist spinners in combination. Therefore, they've used either Kuldeep or Chahal in 51 ODIs; they've used both of them on three occasions and picked none of them on four occasions. Hence, it is a challenging situation, but according to Kuldeep, their relationship hasn't suffered for it. After taking four wickets in the first ODI match against WI in Bridgetown on Thursday, Kuldeep said, "We're very relaxed. We know the combination matters a lot. Sometimes he plays, sometimes I play, and our understanding is very good. We're very normal."Further, he also added that, "He helps me a lot when I play; he tells me what I can do and what I can change. He always wants me ...

Former India Cricket Player Aakash Chopra's statement on Hardik Pandya

Image
After winning the test series against the West Indies cricket team under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India is now heading toward the ODI series, and this time they are going to face the Shai Hope-led WI team. On Thursday, July 27, both teams will be facing each other for the first ODI. With the series, India will start their preparation for the ODI World Cup 2023 and will also look forward to making their combinations right before the mega event. Before the first ODI match at Kensington Oval, Experts Abhinav Mukund, Aakash Chopra, and Saba Karim analysed the role of Hardik Pandya in the team India setup. Aakash Chopra, while analysing Hardik, said that I am viewing him as someone who can give you 5 or 6 overs but not consistently give you 10 overs. Well, we will also find out in 3 ODIs whether he is actually bowling or not, and if he is bowling, then how many overs captain Rohit Sharma gave him to bowl. App Store  ||  Play Store

Coping with Expectations is one of the main things in the ODI World Cup home campaign for Team India

Image
The Indian cricket team will enter the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 as favorites, and on Tuesday, former captain Kapil Dev said the home side should bear the pressure of expectations to regain the trophy. Two-time champions of the ODI World Cup, India is eager to add another title to their list of victories during the WC, which is going to be held in the months of October and November. Kapil Dev said, "I don’t know how it will pan out. They have yet to announce the team for the World Cup. India will always enter a tournament as favorites, as has been the case for a long time. It’s all about how the team comes to terms with the expectations from all sides. We have won the World." He further said, "Cup at home, and I am sure the team, whoever gets selected, can do it again. A World Cup is coming in four years, and I hope the players will be fully prepared." While talking about workload and injury management, Kapil Dev said that a lot of care should be given regarding worklo...

Harmanpreet Kaur's "Pathetic Behaviour" is slammed by India's Great, who calls on the BCCI to take action

Image
The phrase goes that the leader must lead by example, but not after what Indian women's cricket skipper Harmanpreet Kaur did in the tied third ODI versus Bangladesh. Harmanpreet's behaviour throughout the match has been highly questioned, with many fans and analysts arguing that the India captain should have behaved better. Harmanpreet let her emotions run wild on the pitch, whether it was smashing her stumps after being dismissed or continuously addressing the umpires for alleged poor decision-making. Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or the International Cricket Council (ICC) have not yet formally punished Harmanpreet, there are indications that he could face a severe fine. Following the disorganised conclusion of the third One-Day International between India and Bangladesh, former India cricketer Madan Lal criticised Harmanpreet on Twitter and urged the BCCI to take harsh measures. "Harmanpreet's behaviour against the women's team from Ba...

Rain forced a draw in the fourth test match of the Ashes Series between England and Australia; Australia led the series 2-1

Image
The Australia and England cricket teams were squaring off against each other in the 4th test match of the Ashes series 2023 in Manchester. But because of rainfall on the final day of the game, the match ended in a draw. As a result of this, the Pat Cummins-led Team Australia retained the series with a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. Now only one match is remaining. The Australia cricket team had posted a target of 270 runs in the first innings after being asked to bat first after England won the toss. In reply to this, England was solid, with a total of 592 runs on the board. Then the visitors were 214 for 5 in their second innings and were trailing England by 61 runs. Marnus Labuschagne’s stoic century, given support by Mitch Marsh, allowed Australia to ensure that an innings loss looked less and less likely. But then the weather in Manchester spoiled everything as it started raining, which concluded the match in a draw.

Stump-Mic confession of the WI wicketkeeper says, 'My Mom Called and Said she was coming to Watch the Game for Virat Kohli'

Image
An amazing innings from Virat Kohli gave Team India the upper hand on the opening day of the second test match against the West Indies in Trinidad. In his 500th international match for India, Virat scored his 30th half century in the longest format and then returned unbeaten on 87. After the quick dismissal, the unbeaten partnership of 106 runs between Kohli and Jadeja brought the team back into the game, as India posted 288/4 at stumps. Fans who were watching the game on TV sets expressed their adoration for Kohli with reactions on social media, especially when he brought up his fifty with a beautiful cover drive off Jomel Warrican. But one of his admirers was standing close to him; right behind the stumps was the wicketkeeper of the West Indies, Joshua Da Silva. Joshua was continuously talking as he was clearly heard on the stump mic, and to the surprise of everyone, his words were more of a fan boy. He was heard asking Kohli to get a century this time, as the ace Indian batsman miss...

Former Captain of Australia Ricky Ponting says, 'Australia will be disappointed after letting a good opportunity slip'

Image
The legend of the Australia cricket team, Ricky Ponting, expressed his disappointment with the batting unit of the Australia cricket team after the first day of the fourth 2023 test at Old Trafford, Manchester. Despite favourable conditions for batting, the Australian team failed to avail themselves of the opportunity, with their top score standing at a mere 51. Ricky Ponting, who has been closely keeping an eye on the Ashes series, has been quite vocal about the selection of David Warner, who has been struggling with form throughout the series. Despite the poor performance of David Warner, Ricky Ponting had backed him earlier for the fourth test, citing his past achievements and potential to bounce back. But after the first day of the 4th test, Warner did not show any significant improvement in his performance, as he managed to score only 32 runs before losing his wicket to Chris Woakes. The Australian team ended the day with a total of 299/8. After seeing this poor performance by Tea...

In the 100th Test match between India and the West Indies, Ajinkya Rahane is looking for a bagful of runs

Image
In order to extend his International career Ajinkya Rahane is going to pile on the runs and help the Indian cricket team sweep the series against the West Indies cricket team in the second and final test match, which is going to start on Thursday. This will mark the 100th test match between India and the West Indies, and the captain of team India, Rohit Sharma, said that it is going to be a big occasion, and his team is expecting to dominate the West Indies in the same way they did in the series opener match in Dominica. After the match at the Queen’s Park Oval, India will be playing their next test match only on the tour of South Africa later in the months of December and January. This will leave the likes of Rahane one more opportunity to make it difficult for the selectors to overlook him for the series against the Proteas. In his first test match in 18 months, which was the finals of the World Test Championship 2023 against the Australia cricket team held last month, Ajinkya Rahane...

After Team India's Snub of Prithvi Shaw, he takes a Cheeky dig at the team selectors

Image
Indian Opener Prithvi Shaw has experienced a decline in his cricket career, and his exclusion from the Asian Games highlights his diminished status. After his absence from the Indian team since the Sri Lanka tour in 2021, Shaw returned to the T20I side for the series against New Zealand at home last year. Despite his inclusion, he did not get an opportunity to play and was subsequently overlooked for both the West Indies series and the Asian Games. Shaw expressed his confusion over the reason behind his exclusion from the T20I team without even getting a chance to showcase his skills and said in an interview, When I was dropped from the Indian team, I didn't get to know the reason." He further expressed his disappointment at not being selected for the West Indies T20Is and emphasised that his fitness is not a concern, saying that "Someone was saying it could be fitness. But of course, I came here [to Bengaluru] and cleared all the tests at the NCA, again scored runs, and ...

On the Unique record of Ravichandran Ashwin, Irfan Pathan made this Huge comment

Image
After missing the finals of the WTC, the off spinner of team India, Ravichandran Ashwin, made his return to the team and got all the limelight for his brilliant performance in the first test match on Day 1 against the West Indies on Wednesday. After the Pacers of Team India failed to trouble the openers of the West Indies, Tagenarine Chanderpaul (12 off 44 balls) and Kraigg Brathwaite (20 off 46 balls), Ashwin removed both in quick succession to spark a batting collapse. Ashwin went on to pick up his 33rd five-wicket haul as the West Indies were bowled out for 150 in the first innings. With the wicket of Tagenarine, Ashwin became the first player to scalp a father-son duo, having earlier dismissed West Indies great Shivnarine Chanderpaul in a Test match in Delhi. Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan had an interesting take on Ashwin's unique father-son feat. Pathan tweeted, "Do generation ko out karna koi Ashwin se sikhe." App Store | Play Store

Ravichandran Ashwin made Two huge Records with his Day 1 Heroics in the 1st Test Match against WI

Image
The spinner of the Indian Cricket team, Ravichandran Ashwin, continued his monstrous runs against the West Indies cricket team, as he made two huge records against them. He became the bowler with the most five-wicket hauls in test cricket among all the active players. DD Vs NRK TNPL 2023 Qualifier 2 Match: Nellai Royal Kings defeats Dindigul Dragons by 7 Wickets

Image
The game was thrilling and up-and-down, but Nellai maintained composure and won. In this crucial game, they needed 37 runs from the last two overs. The bowling team was predicted to win by the majority of people. In the second-to-last over, Nellai reversed the situation by hitting three consecutive sixes. After that, they continued to grow stronger and were impossible to stop. For his superb performance, Ajitesh merits commendation. Thanks to strong performances from Shivam Singh and Boopathi Kumar, Dindigul performed well to earn a respectable total. Arun Karthik responded by playing a brief innings, but Aushik ultimately got him out. Sugendhiran fought to escape and rushed carelessly to Chakaravarthy. From the start, Ajitesh exuded confidence and methodically scored runs. As he became more comfortable, he began pushing limits more regularly. Rajagopal didn't perform as well as usual, thus it was a sensible choice to let him go. When it mattered most, Easwaran entered the game and...

Former opener of the Indian Cricket Team surprised team selection for Asian games

Image
Aakash Chopra, who is the former batsman of the Indian cricket team , has not included Shikhar Dhawan in his probable 11 for the Asian games. While speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra said that the opener of Chennai Super Kings Ruturaj Gaikwad might not get a place in the squad of team India for the ODI World Cup 2023, but he and the youngster of Rajasthan Royals Yashasvi Jaiswal can make a strong opening pair for team India at the Asian games. Chopra said on his YouTube channel, "I am starting with Ruturaj Gaikwad. I feel Ruturaj Gaikwad's name might not be there for the World Cup. Already Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma are there, and then Ishan Kishan is there as an opener. Then Shreyas Iyer comes, and then you have Virat Kohli. So there, I feel a place might not get opened up." He further added, "So I am going with Ruturaj Gaikwad as an opener. He hasn't had too many opportunities. For some reason, he is not considered your T20 batter. The second player I h...

Australian Legend Questions Comment of Ben Stokes On the Dismissal of Jonny Bairstow

Image
Former captain of Australia Ricky Ponting questioned the comment of England's captain Ben Stokes on the dismissal of Jonny Bairstow on Day 5 of the second Test match of the   Ashes 2023   series. Many fans have deemed Bairstow's dismissal debatable, and Stokes also went on to question the decision. But Ponting clarified his stance on this by saying that the only relevant aspect of the entire dismissal was whether the on field umpire had declared the over complete or not. Ponting said, "There's no difference. There's none because the ball's still alive until the umpire calls over and the ball is alive, and it doesn't matter if it's the fourth, first, second, or third ball; you still have to ask permission to leave your crease, and if you do that and the fielding captain says, Yes, you can leave your crease, then the ball is deemed to be dead." The former captain of Australia believes that it was easy for Stokes to make a bold claim about the entire ...

England Captain Ben Stokes staggering reply to Australia's "Crybabies" remark on the dismissal of Bairstow

Image
The captain of the  England cricket team , Ben Stokes, is on fire both on and off the field. On Day 5 of the second Ashes Test, his views on Jonny Bairstow related to the spirit of cricket debate may create a difference of opinion, but there is no doubt about the fact that his brilliant innings was one of the best in recent times, and it nearly took England over the line at Lord’s.  In his recent public comment, Stokes came up with an unexpected yet funny reply to an Australian newspaper article that portrayed the England captain in nappies and had the headline “crybabies”.   “Poms take whingeing to a new level with ‘cheating’ drivel,” declared ‘The West Australian’ after England head coach Brendon McCullum and captain Stokes heavily lectured Australia on the spirit of cricket following Bairstow’s dismissal. Stokes, in his witty reply to the newspaper’s column, wrote: “That’s definitely not me; since when did I bowl with the new ball?”

The former India captain took to Twitter after the game to praise Stokes, saying he played an inning of the highest quality. Stokes scored 155 runs in 214 balls, where he smashed nine boundaries and as many sixes.
